"Autumn is becoming a popular time to get married," explains Bridget Scott of Blue Fizz Events. "Our shoot offers a moody take on the romance of the season." With the golden colours, dappled sunlight and heady romance of the summer house - where outdoor ceremonies take place - and the various scenic walks through the surrounding woodland, the Deer Park Country House Hotel makes a dreamy spot to marry during autumn - and a stirring backdrop for this beguiling styled shoot.
Decked with trailing greenery and deep red blooms, the feasting table takes centre stage. "Autumnal fruits and white pumpkins are strewn along the place settings, offering an opulent yet rural vibe, while wood, slate and quirky accessories give the whole look a relaxed feel," says Bridget.
For the bride, a tiered cotton lace dress is teamed with vintage knitwear and velvet ribbons; alongside strong hair and make-up, the mix of heavy textures and delicate antlers strike a dreamily ethereal chord. Meanwhile, the groom's tweed suit and handmade tie echo the green tones of the setting, while complimenting the eye-catching aesthetic.
Well-considered lighting is essential for creating a magical atmosphere. "Twilight appears early at this time of year and candlelight and lanterns can be used to enchanting effect to guide your guests indoors to mingle around roaring fires, comforting food and mulled wines," says Bridget. "This is definitely the season to be inspired!"
