Devon's gorgeous country house wedding venue, The Horn of Plenty Hotel has recently been awarded 3 AA Rosettes for fine dining at a glamorous ceremony at the Grovenor House Hotel in London.
The independently owned luxury manor house is located on the edge of Dartmoor and is one of only eight destinations in the South West to achieve the accolade, adding to its impressive tally of regional and national achievements in recent years.
Earlier this year the Horn of Plenty won the silver award for "Small Hotel of the Year" in Visit England's prestigious National Awards for Excellence. Last year, it was also named "Small Hotel of the Year" in the Devon Tourism Awards.
Awarding the Horn of Plenty the 3 AA Rosettes, Robert Martin, AA Hotel and Restaurant Inspector, praised the "appealing and balanced selection of imaginative dishes", and "skilled and measured" execution of the meal.
The Horn of Plenty has been famous as a foodie hotspot for nearly 50 years, with current head chef Scott Paton joining the team as head chef in 2011. Together with sous chef Luke Fearon and a dedicated and talented team of six chefs, they work tirelessly to provide a dining experience to ensure you and your wedding guests a gastronomy of the highest and most memorable calibre.
"Our philosophy here at The Horn of Plenty is to provide food which stimulates the senses: visually stunning, rich in texture and tantalising on the taste buds," says Scott. "We work very closely with our fantastic local suppliers and our Head Gardener, always striving to source the very best local, seasonal produce and to deliver clean and distinctive flavours. "
