I've always believed that Cornwall is a special place to get married. Few places on Earth can rival the staggering scenery and the heady air of romance, not to mention that special atmosphere that gets under your skin. And now, as enchanting new venues pop up, hotels undergo sleek makeovers and glamorous new bridal boutiques bursting with impossibly pretty frocks open - Cornwall has never been such a wonderful place to get wed. This issue, we celebrate the dreamy dresses, the darling details, the party pads, and decadent flavours which make for a pretty and endlessly personal wedding in this enchanting place.
Our bridal fashion shoots saw us exploring some pretty pockets of West Cornwall with an exquisite selection of dresses - and some brilliantly creative people - in tow. Captured in fields abloom with a carnival of flowers on the edge of Mount's Bay, 'Dream a Little Dream' is a sweet reverie of enchanting dresses, subtle embellishment and whimsical florals. See the behind the scenes video on www.wedmagazine.co.uk. Meanwhile, 'Blush of Romance' is brimming with pretty-as-a-picture silhouettes for a breathtakingly romantic look. And, as your fantasy dress demands the perfect hair and make-up, 'The Look of Love' showcases covetable looks, from screen siren glamour to dreamy boho.
Some seriously hip hotels now pepper Cornwall's glorious landscape. Whether you're seeking sophistication in the city, seaside chic or country luxe, prepare to meet your perfect party pad in 'Local Treasures'.
We see it as our mission to celebrate the personal here at Wed. The key to a memorable wedding is embracing those so-you details, which speak volumes about your individual personalities and coupledom - from start to finish. We meet some couples who did just that in 'Unique, C'est Chic!', while 'Got Wed' is jam-packed with love stories that warm the cockles, from vintage glamour in the depths of winter to coolly eclectic celebrations in the heat of summer.
We've received some wonderful feedback from our lovely readers over recent months. It makes us feel all warm and fuzzy to hear how Wed has been an integral part of your journey to the aisle. Do keep in touch on Facebook and Twitter, and register for our newsletter for the freshest and most fabulous wedding inspiration this wonderful county has to offer.
