Newly engaged? Congratulations and a big warm welcome to Wed world! One of life's most exciting chapters has begun. As you take those first steps into the dizzying world of wedding planning, let me offer you one piece of advice: enjoy every moment of the process. For it's not all about the wonderful-beyond-words wedding day. This entire journey, from trying on all those gorgeous dresses to deliberating over the playlist, is one to be savoured. And we'll be there each step of the way. We're a small and friendly team and enjoy having an interactive relationship with you, our fabulous readers, so don't hesitate to get in touch with your planning conundrums.
You'll find our first - and biggest ever - issue of 2014 full to the brim with the finest wedding inspiration the county has to offer. We take a peek inside some of Cornwall's picturesque and brilliantly unique settings to say 'I do' in our bumper venues section, which includes a guide to those must-ask questions.
Breeze down the aisle feeling your most beautiful courtesy of our pre-wedding skincare, pampering and fitness tips. And set off on the road to married life armed with the wedded wisdom of some happily married couples. There's also the dreamiest styling inspiration, from Jane Austen era romance and blissed-out beach chic to dazzling decor for a modern winter wedding. And, of course, there are gowns galore.
Our bridal fashion story 'The Art of Romance' took us to the captivating climes of artist Naomi Frears' studio in St Ives' historic Porthmeor Studios. Surrounded by Naomi's enchanting paintings and the echoes of the renowned artists who have worked there, it was an inspiring space to shoot a selection of dramatic dresses, which marry layers of sumptuous fabrics with ornate embellishment. Meanwhile, the plush setting of The Alverton in Truro made a suitably glamorous backdrop for Gatsby-inspired fashions, vintage lingerie and oodles of jaw-dropping jewels in 'Putting on the Glitz'.
If you're seeking a stylish and inspiring day out, then don't miss Cornwall's fabulous one-stop wedding planning extravaganza! Yes, The Wed Show swings into Trereife Park, Penzance, on Sunday 6th April. We look forward to seeing you there!
