Introducing Uphill Farm Walled Garden & Barn

For couples with visions of a rural romance, Uphill Farm Walled Garden & Barn is the stuff of dreams. Located in a pretty idyll on the edge of Dartmoor, the garden party venue is set amidst the grounds of a 500-year old Grade II listed farmhouse. An historic stone barn with views across the Tamar Valley and a picturesque walled garden make for a stirringly beautiful setting to take your vows; there's also a choice of churches in the area, including St Andrew’s Church in nearby Buckland Monachorum. Surrounded by mature trees, lush lawns and colour-pop flowerbeds, the garden also makes an idyllic setting for a marquee reception.

Hosting weddings on Saturdays from May-September, only a small number of events are held here each year, allowing couples to enjoy the grounds at their most beautiful, while allowing the small team to get to know each couple and take a personal approach to each celebration. Accommodating between 70 and 120 guests, couples can design a day to suit their vision, using the venue’s props to style the spaces, including trestle tables, peacock chairs and lanterns. Food is a top priority for the farm, which produces charcuterie from their own free-range rare breed pigs. Enjoy a customised cocktail menu and garden games before a bespoke feast cooked from their open fire kitchen; then gather around the firepit and toast marshmallows beneath the starry Dartmoor skies for an atmospheric endnote to a truly magical day.
