Many choose their wedding ceremonies to take place in the magnificent Great Hall; with stunning views, a beautiful Minstrels Gallery and a roaring log fire during the winter months, the Great Hall is the most romantic setting for your marriage ceremony. There's also an intimate 6th century chapel located in a walled garden in the grounds of Bickleigh Castle. The chapel is available to use for a blessing, a humanist ceremony, an opportunity to sing some of your favourite songs, or simply to capture beautiful photographs.
 
With the River Exe flowing through the estate, outdoor civil wedding ceremonies are much sought after, with amazing countryside views and the most picturesque, tranquil and peaceful setting; perfect for your spring or summer outdoor wedding ceremony.
 
Just imagine saying your wedding vows with the sound of the river running by, robins singing in the trees and the trees quietly rustling in the wind, with different options in place in case of a British downpour (the team will evaluate the weather the Friday before the wedding and set up The Great Hall as a back-up plan if they think there may be a chance of rain).
 
After the ceremony, you can move to the versatile Wedding Breakfast Room for your reception, where you can dine in style with all your friends and family. 
 
We are still on cloud nine following the most wonderful, magical and fantastic weekend for our wedding with you at Bickleigh. The whole event went perfectly.

The wedding ceremony in the castle's guard room, and blessing in the chapel were simply stunning. The chapel is quite magical, crossing the moat back for a champagne reception on the lawn could not have been more perfect.
