Nestled at the base of Rosewall Hill, Lower Bussow Farm is a family-run wedding and events venue in St Ives, Cornwall. The venue offers a welcoming, rustic space where friends and family can gather to celebrate, feast and stay. Set amidst an alpaca herd, the large wedding barn has been recently rebuilt, in place of a dilapidated indoor riding school on the family's grandparents' farm. The family have tried hard to retain a traditional vibe and rustic charm to provide guests with an authentic yet comfortably modern farm experience. This spacious barn offers a minimalistic backdrop that you can transform to your heart's desire.
The barn is equipped with a large wood burner, a fully staffed bar and kitchen team, 8ft steel hanging rings and sweeping lights. This rustic space can seat up to 200 guests on our handmade wooden trestle tables, which have been reclaimed from the old riding school, and offers ample space for a lively reception for up to 500 guests.
The impressive entranceway is a great meeting point for aperitifs and canapes, and the barn has large sliding doors throughout with a beautiful view of the garden and Rosewall Hill.
Next to the main barn is a terraced garden blossoming with wild flowers, which sweep around a cedar roof wooden pagoda and lawn, which is the perfect location on site for a blessing. We offer blessings inside the barn or, weather permitting, outdoors underneath the magical cedar pagoda. After an unforgettable day of festivities, up to 18 guests can enjoy a relaxing night in contemporary country cottages. For further guests we offer glamping under the stars. Our boutique glamping site is equipped with a communal kitchen and bathroom amenities.
Our next open event is our Christmas Market on Sunday 11th December. Everyone is welcome to see the space, enjoy some local produce and artists and meet our Alpacas of course!
