Golden Glow

Blending the indoors and outdoors to evoke a palpable sense of the season, this styled shoot at HARTA Retreat in North Devon sees the venue’s scenic surroundings merge with gorgeous décor. Taking an autumnal palette fused with deep berry tones and bright colour pops, the look is one of foraged beauty with a fun and glamorous twist. 

Floristry mixing fresh and dried flowers greets an illuminated ‘Love’ sign, festooned fairy lights and a smattering of glitterballs. Tables decorated with midnight blue runners contrast with the colourful glassware, floral arrangements, napkins and candlesticks all muted by leather Moroccan pouffes, handmade wooden stools and tree stump side tables atop braided jute rugs.

Ornate silver candle-holders, vintage serving trays and gold flatware complete the luxe-edged look, with the cake adorned with dried petals and pearls perfectly blending the two contrasting aesthetics. Sheepskin rugs, aerial installations, potted palms and hammocks draped between the tipi’s poles continue the textured layering, lending the scene a super-cosy, eclectic feel.

The bride dazzles in a gown that embraces both vintage elegance and modern accents. The embellished mock neck and sweeping long skirt are reminiscent of timeless regal fashion, while the oversized belt bow, plunging bodice and botanical appliqués bring a contemporary twist. A dainty pearl-encrusted headpiece and loose updo completes the look of romantic whimsy.
