Any time of year, any time of day, come rain or shine ' one venue we absolutely love shooting at is Beacon Crag, the location of this issue's bridal fashion story 'Making Waves.' Situated on the clifftops a stone's throw from Porthleven on Cornwall's rugged south coast, its unrivalled position affords jaw-dropping views.
Built in 1887 for a local artist, the house is flanked by five acres of private clifftop grounds with a marquee lawn and its own path to the sea and rocky cove below. It's an extraordinary setting on a sun-drenched summer's day through to a wave-lashed winter's night, where a multitude of candles flickering at the windows add to the drama of the setting.
The luxuriously decorated bedrooms come with coastal views, king-sized beds and en suite facilities. The latest addition ' a one-bedroom private apartment ' is a newly-weds' dream; the reverse-level, self-contained accommodation comes complete with private access, a private decking area, open-plan kitchen and dining living area ' and, of course, incredible sea views!
A wildly romantic setting for an intimate wedding, the new elopement package includes use of the hot tub, another tantalising new feature which offers ocean panoramas alongside bubbling warm waters. Imagine toasting your marriage beneath starlit skies in this captivating corner of the Cornish coast. Dreamy.
