A Grade II listed house in a picture-perfect setting, Brickhouse Vineyard in the south Devon hills had already stolen our hearts. Set amongst 20 acres of fields and woodland, including vines that produce around 3,000 bottles of wine each year, it's a unique venue brimming with rural romance.
Four years after the venue first opened its doors, major renovations to both the Round House and the Barn mean the wedding offering at Brickhouse Vineyard is even more impressive.
Licensed for civil ceremonies, the beautifully restored Round House is set on a landscaped terrace, providing a natural outdoor aisle through a wildflower meadow overlooking the vines. Couples may choose to follow the vows with a drinks reception on the terrace, taking in the sublime countryside views before moving onto the newly restored 18th century Daisy Wheel Barn. Combining traditional and modern architectural design, the space boasts a unique synthesis of rustic charm and stylish elegance. Flooded with natural light, features such as the open-vaulted oak beam roof and contemporary bar make it an ambient space for a wedding breakfast.
'Our wedding options include everything you'll need to ensure a well-planned, smoothly run and super enjoyable wedding experience,' says owner Joanna Pisko. 'We set out to create an amazing vineyard wedding experience perfect for romantic elopements, intimate celebrations and barn weddings for up to 60 day guests and 100 in the evening.'
Whether it's just the two of you, or you're planning a party with all your nearest and dearest, you'll be looked after by the dedicated wedding team and enjoy exclusive use of this exceptionally beautiful corner of Devon ' the dream venue for country-loving couples with an eye for design.
