Barely-there bridal make-up

Combine natural and oh-so you looking make-up with a relaxed hair do for the ultimate in barely there beautification that smacks of modern romance

Welcome to a world of bridal beauty where a stunning look of natural glamour is matched by the breath-taking backdrop of Trereife House in Penzance. Make-up artist for the shoot, Kerra Griffith explains the inspiration and methods used to create the spellbinding shoot...

"I wanted to create a natural make-up look that would appeal to brides that don't usually wear lots of make-up. I used brown tones on the eyes, just enough to bring out the natural shape of the models' eyes. I used a peach blusher and some highlighter to help shape the cheek bones. On the lip, I used my favourite lip colour at the moment which is No.7 spiced latte. It is perfect for any occasion and any face. I love it."

"The wedding dress we used for this shoot had a gorgeous back, so I wanted to do the hair up so we could show it off. I also wanted the hair and make-up to balance each other and complement one another. I chose to do a relaxed bun with loose curls and added some quaint flowers to finish the look."

"I wanted to be able to show versatility of the two looks, so for the second look I went a little heavier on the eyes. This was done by adding a darker shadow into the socket of the eye and blending it into the shadow on the lid. I kept the original make-up on but added to it to show the transition. I added heavier contouring and a darker lip. This look would be ideal for someone who usually wears make-up or wants a classic romantic look."

"Again, I wanted the hair and make-up to balance, but also to show a different hair style. I left the hair down and added hair extensions and curls to give more body and volume. I plaited around the back of the hair to keep an elegant wedding feel."

"Trereife House has a gorgeous bridal suite which is full of character and little charms. As it was raining we took a lot of photos in there. When the sun broke through the clouds we made the most of the stunning gardens."

"Photographer Joey Lamb has such a great personality it was a real pleasure to work with him. He made myself and the model feel completely at ease."
