Bridal styling: ethereal wedding dresses

A rustic country venue, the dreamiest of dresses and nature untapped are the keynotes of this stunning fashion shoot

A secluded corner of the Cornish countryside provided the perfect backdrop for this fashion editorial, which showcases the most dreamy, boho-style dresses and dapper groomswear alongside a setting that spells pure romance.

Shot on location at Stennack Farm, this exclusive editorial blends ethereal style with spellbinding surrounds for an inspirational look book of the latest bridal fashions. From jaw-dropping gowns finished with beautiful hair, make-up and accessories to a series of gorgeous spaces styled with statement props, the result displays the high impact achieved when you combine just a few handpicked elements.

Let's start with the setting. Situated between rolling fields and woodland in a hidden glade on the far western peninsula near Godrevy, Stennack Farm is a family-run working farm and cluster of converted barns that offer privacy, exclusivity and escape. Specialising in elopement and intimate weddings with a palpably luxe feel, Stennack is also in the process of converting a cow barn to accommodate celebrations of up to 200 guests. The beautiful blank canvas venue lends itself to pared-back styling that lets the natural surrounds form much of the decor, but is so wonderfully versatile that couples can stamp their personality in a number of unique ways - as is demonstrated with the striking light-up 'love' letters, hexagonal archway, minimalist blooms and stripped-back wooden benches. A huge sharing platter of colourful fruit and snacks set atop an unadorned farmhouse table creates a fabulous focal point; while outside, nature continues to impress her charm as the newly weds make the most of the features scattered throughout the farm, from the giant hay bales to the barn's wooden clad exterior, granite steps and the Bridal Suite Shepherd Hut.

Next - the dress code. The first bride is a vision of ethereal style in her long leaf-lace gown, which fuses vintage glamour with modern romance for a timelessly free-spirited look. The open back and plunging neckline offer a more seductive edge, while the long sleeves and skirt with in-built train provide the perfectly romantic balance. Dainty jewellery alongside flowing curls adorned with head-turning floral crowns (later swapped for a trendy fedora) ensure the on-point endnote. Meanwhile, her groom is equally as eye-catching in his herringbone tweed check three-piece suit, which pairs muted earth tones with colour pop orange for classic-meets-modern style.

The second bride wears another show-stealer. Long, semi-fitted and with fringe detailing on the sleeves and waist alongside head-to-toe botanical embroidery makes this dress an uber enchanting choice. A hint of casual irreverence with a pair of biker boots and black fedora channels hippie spirit, while the pearl choker is a modern nod to the classic bridal piece. A twisted braid with a pretty pearl hair vine, pearl drop earrings and clutch of greenery completes the ensemble.

All that remains is a few shots with the beloved pet pooch before relocating to the great outdoors to relish in the romance of a wedding so stylishly reflective of- and beautifully at-one with nature.
