Nestled in 12 acres of idyllic gardens in the chocolate-box village of Mawnan Smith near Cornwall’s south coast, Carwinion House redefines the term ‘country escape’. The 18th century house can be found in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty just a few miles from the maritime capital of Falmouth, offering a picturesque rural locale with sandy beaches and subtropical gardens nearby.
The venue has recently launched a series of packages to be enjoyed amidst the picturesque gardens, stunning Raj-style marquee set within the landscaped walled garden and the luxuriously renovated country house itself.
Package One is perfect for those hoping for a sun-drenched weekend wedding between June and August, with the option of catering by esteemed chef Debbie Thorpe. You’ll also benefit from exclusive use of the ceremony room, library, lounge, terrace, gardens and outside ceremony area as well as the Raj-style marquee.
For those planning an intimate wedding for up to 30 (with another 30 in the evening) in low-mid season (September to May), Package Two offers a Friday to Sunday stay at Carwinion House for up to six, plus use of the ceremony room, library, lounge, terrace, gardens and outside ceremony area.
Car parking, toilets, power, water, lighting, ceremony licence and wedding coordination by Out of the Ordinary Weddings is included with both packages, so you can relax in the knowledge that your wedding day needs are being expertly taken care of. You can also look forward to getting ready at Carwinion House on the morning of your wedding. From the lavender-lined walkways and wildflower-filled gardens to the luxurious accommodation and serene setting, you’re promised a once-in-a-lifetime celebration in this tucked-away idyll.
