Grooms Cornwall

Dress dapper in sharp shapes and rustic tweed, finished with coolly individual accessories and a dash of attitude

The modern groom is an altogether different beast to the safe-dressing groom of yesteryear. Driven to make a sartorial statement on the big day, grooms are growing in confidence and creativity where it comes to selecting their wedding attire. With so many options now available, there's plenty of scope for selecting a more fashionable, individual and memorable look.

Charlotte Lodey of Eve Wedding Design was inspired to showcase some of her favourite looks in this shoot. "We've mixed classic cut designer suits with three-pieces, slim fit blazers, tweed and bow ties, all tied together with subtle Great Gatsby inspired barbering and decor styling," she comments.

Here are her top tips for styling the more individual groom and groomsmen...

● Don't be scared to mix and match.

● Choose a colour palette and dress your grooms accordingly, always referring back to those tones.

● Be careful not to overdo the country tweed look - unless you want your wedding to look like a shooting party!

● Team different styles to create a more casual, quirky and coolly eclectic look.

● Think of ways to tie the look all together; for example, the colour of the buttonhole flowers, a matching bow tie or pocket square.
