As we were putting the finishing touches to new Cornwall issue of Wed Magazine, issue 68, we were delighted to see the deluge of rain, muzzle and fog give way to sunshine and blue skies. It's been a long winter, and spring couldn't be more welcome, and with it a feeling of new beginnings, optimism and a season of joy.

With our gaze firmly on the sun-filled months ahead (we hope!), this issue is a celebration of al fresco ceremonies, outdoor hen dos, sun-dappled countryside venues and celebrating love with the sand between our toes.

Call of the Sea showcases the coastal allure of our county, with ocean-inspired florals and dreamy touches at Boskerris Hotel, while Carnival of Colour celebrates all things bright and beautiful, with vibrant touches and fun-filled details.

Meanwhile, our cover shoot, Dream Weaver, is inspired by all things Seventies – think blousy sleeves, summer blooms and floaty details weaved throughout the styling. It whispers long summer evenings and soft romantic flair.

Our real weddings never fail in bringing together your personalities as well as impeccable locations, unique ideas and, always, the most stylish of brides and grooms. Take Lowenna and Harry, for example, who utilise the backdrop of Nancarrow to stage a celebration that's rich in seasonal detailing – using the autumn equinox as their aesthetic inspiration, the earthy oatmeal and peach colour scheme helps create a "naturally undone look with high impact". Imogen and Ollie, who wed at Cornish Tipi Weddings, embraced the Duchy, planning a wedding that featured a free-spirited festival vibe with sea shanties and Celtic knot-tying.

For even more real wedding inspiration, heed the advice of those who've gone before you, with our feature 24 Tips From Real Couples giving the very best advice. There's also inspiration for a fun-filled hen do in A Hen to Remember, how to bring magic to your ceremony, and rings that stand out with texture and meaning.

Flowers take centre stage throughout this issue, so if you're making the decision of which blooms to shine bright at your wedding, our feature Darling Buds provides a month-by-month guide to flowers as well as inspiration from local florists, whatever season you're planning your big day for.
