The restaurant’s thoughtfully curated interior maximises the breathtaking views of The Camel Estuary, seating up to 60 guests with options for indoor and outdoor dining. The terrace and lawn area provide the perfect vantage point to soak up the lively atmosphere of Padstow’s working harbour, while 'The Snug' offers a cosy retreat for after-dinner drinks during cooler months.

A Seafood Lover's Paradise

One of the standout features of The Jetty is its commitment to locally sourced seafood. The menu is almost entirely supplied by local fishermen and producers from Cornwall, emphasising fresh and seasonal ingredients. Guests can look forward to a daily-changing ‘Catch of the Day’ line-up featuring the likes of local day boat fish, whole Padstow lobster and Porthilly oysters.

Alex Aitken is no stranger to the world of fine dining. With a career spanning over three decades, he has become one of Hampshire's most respected chefs, renowned for his commitment to fresh, seasonal ingredients and locally sourced seafood. His culinary journey began at sea, where he gained invaluable experience as a trawlerman — a background that has given him a deep understanding of the ocean's bounty.

Aitken’s first restaurant, Le Poussin in Brockenhurst, Hampshire, opened in 1983 and earned a Michelin star, which he held for an impressive 15 years. Today, he continues to make waves in the food scene as the Chef Patron of The Jetty, with award-winning locations in Christchurch, Salcombe and Southampton.
