TIME TO CELEBRATE
This issue is the 70th Cornwall edition of Wed Magazine. Over 70 issues and almost 18 years, we’ve revelled in the joy of inspiring engaged couples with the beauty of this extraordinary county and the talent of its wedding industry.

What an incredible journey it has been. It’s a pleasure and a privilege to be here – 18 years, 70 issues and over 12,000 pages of wedding inspiration later – still doing what we love and being part of your journey through one of life’s most special chapters. Thank you to our wonderful readers and wedding industry friends for your support and being a crucial part of Wed’s story.

From the first issue, Wed’s ethos has always been centred on ripping up the rulebook and putting you – your loves, your personalities and your unique bond – at the heart of your day and throwing a wedding which is brilliantly ‘you’ in every way. Whether it’s a just-for-two do on the Cornish clifftops, a timelessly romantic country house wedding or a full-on festival shindig, it’s so wonderful to see so many couples throwing caution to the wind and celebrating their love in individual and memorable style.

This issue is no different. In Your Day, Your Way, we share a series of ideas for adding an individual touch to your wedding, from the ceremony to the stationery, while Love at First Dance delivers inspiration for dancing to your own beat as dusk falls and the party revs up. For a wedding day centred entirely on the two of you, an elopement is the ultimate choice. In Run Away With Me, we offer some expert guidance on how to achieve your perfect elopement, while three couples share their elopement stories in Small Weddings of Dreams.

Our real weddings are bursting with bespoke touches. Beccy and Tom filled their festival wedding with sunshine hues, tropical disco vibes and a menu inspired by their love story, while Hannah and Mat wove their ceremony with memorable rituals, readings and music. The love and laughter is palpable in every image of Nicole and Dan’s joy-filled garden wedding; then there’s Becca and Alex’s intimate celebration at The Lost Gardens of Heligan, complete with a music-filled ceremony and marshmallow toasting around the firepit. I love the way these couples have woven their love stories into the details to make everything from the music to the menu so evocative and packed with meaning.
