Step into wonderland - from the otherworldly beauty of Devon's coastline and enchanting gardens in the heart of the country to the flamboyant realms of Lewis Carroll's imagination itself. Let Wed take you on one fabulous flight of fancy!
These petal-strewn pages abound with inspiration, starting with our bridal fashion story 'In Full Bloom', which took us to the dreamy climes of Combe House. After a long winter, the gardens had erupted into a carnival of colour - it was the prettiest of backdrops to capture the gentle romance of lace dresses, dainty floral embellishment and delicate fresh blooms. Continuing the floral theme, 'Flower Power' serves up some brilliant ideas for personalising and prettifying your wedding flowers, and inspiration in the form of soft blousy blooms to fruity tropical florals.
You'll find a riot of wildly beautiful flowers, flamboyant cakes and high-drama gowns in 'Welcome to Wonderland'; we had great fun creating our own vibrant and eclectic take on Lewis Carroll's 'Alice in Wonderland' in Powderham Castle, complete with Devon's very own Mad Hatter, Jonty Depp, and the Queen of Hearts.
And while we're talking drama, the coastline of North Devon has it by the bucket load; we've nosed around some beguiling spots for a shindig by the sea in 'Jewels of the Ocean.'
I've been bowled over by the weddings in this issue's 'Got Wed': there's jaw-dropping frocks, unforgettable parties and heartfelt stories galore - each one is testament to the importance of pouring your personality into your wedding and doing it 'your way.' I hope this issue inspires you to throw the wedding of your wildest dreams!
Until next time!
Rebecca
