SUMMER LOVE
It is almost midsummer as I sit to write this letter and the wedding season is in full swing. Our social media feed is full of gorgeous weddings and our inbox is filling with submissions. At the same time, newly engaged couples are registering for a copy of Wed as they set out on their own journey to the aisle. From the couples basking in the glow of their just-engaged status to the newlyweds reflecting on the dreamiest of wedding days, it is a real privilege to be part of this process and immerse ourselves in beautiful love stories played out against the epic landscapes of Devon.

You’ll find many joy-filled love stories in this issue’s Got Wed. The coast of south Devon made a sublime backdrop for Sophie and Henry’s intimate spring celebration at Gara Rock, while Charlotte and Max fell in love with the wildflower meadows and leafy orchards of Harefield Barn, which truly shone on their sun-drenched wedding day. It might have been the depths of winter, but the epic rural panoramas of The Horn of Plenty, on the edge of Dartmoor, offered captivating romance for Stephanie and Ash. Then there’s Lottie and Charlie, who tied the knot on a crisp winter’s day in the lush rural setting of Upton Barn.

Our styled shoots take us from the glorious, colour-pop vibes of Summer Punch, captured in the seriously stunning setting of Pynes House, to the flower-filled beauty of Seasons in the Sun, where The Oak Barn makes the most romantic rural backdrop. Wild at Heart draws on the natural canvas of Wooladon Estate, with its stunning new barn and acres of idyllic countryside, to inspire free-spirited W-day style. And a tucked-away garden, set amidst the rhododendrons at Moreton House in north Devon, presents a pretty floral canvas for The Secret Garden.
