LOVE WINS
Since our last issue was published, the world has taken a bit of a different turn, and we're all adapting to the new normal of life in the times of Coronavirus. There have undoubtedly been some hard times in the wedding industry, but they've also been positive times, where we've seen businesses band together, suppliers helping each other and their brides and grooms, and a lot of uplifting content providing couples with not only escapism but also the tools they need for either wedding planning, or wedding rearranging.
Our new Devon issue is a celebration of that. Team Wed has also been adapting to a new normal; we've been juggling childcare, home working, supplier changes, and trying to help as many of you out as possible, while creating the magazine that's at the heart of everything we do. And we're so proud to showcase our industry in the new Devon issue.
When it comes to fashion shoots, the pretty pastels and soft florals of 'Flower Girl' bring the style to the cover story to paint a dreamily romantic celebration, while the mood changes in 'A Perfect Storm', for an atmospheric twist on seasonal style.
A gorgeous array of wedding dresses is lavished throughout the magazine, including everything from vintage styles to fashion-forward silhouettes and billowing gowns of the softest tulle. And from matching robes and personalised pyjamas to sultry sleepwear, there's lingerie and loungewear fir for a bride and her tribe too.
When it comes to advice, we've asked just-married brides about the one thing they forgot on their wedding day, so you don't have to (and we guarantee there'll be at least one thing you'd have forgotten!), and give you a whole dazzling host of of first-class entertainment acts to bring the wow factor to your wedding.
Plus, if you've been thinking about how to make your wedding more environmentally-friendly, our focus on all things green ' from eco-friendly favours to zero-waste weddings ' will help you on your way. And of course, our Venues Guide has exactly what you need to help you choose the perfect venue for you, whether that's a rustic-luxe barn wedding, elegant hotel or dreamlike manor house.
Couple this with utterly beautiful real weddings ' from Sophie and Alex's rural wedding complete with pumpkins, acorns and autumnal leaves to Melissa and Ben's summer wedding in the grounds of a manor house (wait until you see the doughnut stack!) ' and you'll be all set and ready to go to plan the wedding of your dreams.
While Wed Magazine is available from WHSmith, Martin McColl and selected Sainsbury's, Tesco, Co-op and independent newsagents across Cornwall, we know some of you will struggle will get to those shops, so don't forget you can also order online here: www.wedmagazine.co.uk/Wed-Magazine.html and the magazine will be delivered to your door.
We hope you love the new issue, and find inspiration and escapism aplenty!
