It might have been a spur of the moment, mini photo shoot, but the results of this recent fashion editorial capture the free-spirited essence of place and style to beautiful effect.
Captured amongst a field of sunflowers by Laura from Freeformimages, a small group of creatives collaborated to produce the spellbinding scene, where the backdrop is just as jaw-dropping as the fashion-forward ensemble itself.
"It was very impromptu and completed just before storm Ellen," reveals Laura. "My dream shoot in the most gorgeous sunflower field in Little Torrington!"
The fading light not only picks up the dazzling golden detail of the surrounding sunflowers, but casts a soft light on the bride's exquisite outfit, where flowing cuts meet dramatic detail for a look that smacks of casual, yet cutting edge style.
Mid-length kimono sleeves combine with a deep plunge neckline and back for the perfect pairing of cover-up and seductive cut. Scallop trim lace with an eye-catching geometric design exudes a graphic edge, which is softened by dainty floral detail on both the dress and veil, and a long sweeping skirt with built-in train.
Then there's the accessories. The piece de resistance is the statement crown: a nature-inspired metallic masterpiece of wearable art. A stunning drop back necklace draws attention to the sultry expanse of skin and is joined by gorgeous pearl drop earrings and bracelet, while a delicate wedding band completes the finishing touches.
