ONE OF A KIND
Designing and crafting her unique sculptural jewellery on the edge of Dartmoor, the untamed beauty of the surrounding landscape is an endless source of inspiration for designer-maker Corrinne Eira Evans – and its impact is plain to see in her new ‘One of a Kind’ jewellery collection. A modern take on the traditional signet ring, the new pieces combine engagement, wedding and ceremonial into one irresistible design.

Androgynous in aesthetic, the intricate rings blend heritage crafts skills with contemporary design, while carefully selected materials echo the essence of the moorland. Housing one-off ethically sourced gemstones laced in high carat SMO golds, the pieces are designed with touch and tactility in mind, moving with and on the body, for the most comfortable fit. “I’m inspired by Dartmoor, by the ever-changing, mystical landscape that surrounds me. My work holds echoes of the world I see; shadows, dappled light, wild grasses and shifting skies,” says Corrinne, who has caught the eye of influential fine jewellery experts with both her technical ability and the way her jewellery captures the spirit of the moorland and transforms it into fluid precious metal.

The soulful connection between designer and inspiration is palpable in her studio at Moon & Moor Gallery in Okehampton, where Corrinne crafts her fine jewellery and showcases her collections alongside a variety of beautiful ethical makers’ work. Passionate about bringing clients’ visions to life in her unique sculptural style, Corrinne welcomes commissions, whether it’s designing a piece from scratch or using her clients’ gemstones and heirloom gold to create something stunning and packed with meaning.

TREASURE TROVE

An emporium of contemporary jewellery in the heart of Exeter, Polka Dot Gallery is home to a standout selection of jewellery collections from a brilliantly talented line-up of south-west based and international designers. From Sophie Harley’s distinctive and dazzlingly beautiful designs to Alex Monroe’s dainty, nature-inspired pieces, there’s something for everyone – whether you’re seeking an engagement ring, wedding band, bridal jewellery or wedding party gifts.

The Ruth Tomlinson collection is a favourite at the gallery. Based in London’s historic jewellery district of Hatton Garden, the British designer is celebrated for her exquisite signature style and unique approach, marrying fine craftsmanship with stunning artistry. Often drawing inspiration from the natural world, folklore and her travels, each piece is a lovingly handcrafted work of art, marked by her signature granular intricacies and ethereal character. With sustainability being key to Ruth’s ethos, all metals and stones are carefully and ethically sourced. “We are committed to sourcing our materials in a responsible manner, exclusively using 100% recycled gold and individually sourced gemstones,” she explains.

Picture a dainty pendant featuring a solitare diamond nestled amongst tiny golden granules; a gently textured engagement ring scattered with champagne and white diamonds; a wedding band dotted with tiny blue sapphires and diamonds, and a ring of pink-red rubies seemingly floating amongst granules of gold. You’ll find these ethereal and enchanting heirlooms – and so much more – amongst the treasures of Polka Dot Gallery.
