Light fantastic

Shot at Beaconside House in North Devon, this styled shoot celebrates the joy of a whimsical wedding in the spring and summer months in this gorgeous corner of the county. An inviting reception space sets the scene, presenting vibrant décor with a palpably seasonal feel. From tall floral arrangements in a rainbow of hues to delicate stems scattered across the tabletops and the fresh flower-adorned cake, the floristry is a bright and beautiful ode to summer. The detailing showcases colourful glassware and candles set alongside rustic-luxe elements such as raffia charger plates, a floral stationery suite and velvet ribbons.
 
Stone walls and bare wooden chairs are softened by sweeping drapes and fairy lights, and contrast with the surrounding greenery that’s visible from the floor-to-ceiling windows. The result is a flooding of natural light accentuated by the twinkling chandeliers. Meanwhile, the signage provides a clean and minimal look in pared-back monochrome, adding a modern chic effect to the overall aesthetic. 
 
The bride dons three separate looks, epitomising boho elegance with a delicate off-the-shoulder sleeved dress with boned bodice and frothy A-line skirt, then a playful two-piece comprising a fitted lace top and voluminous trousers. A sleek, backless gown with side slit and plunging lace bodice is the finale to the trio of fashions, with ethereal jewellery handcrafted in North Devon providing the beautiful endnote.
 
Outside, the al fresco ceremony stage oozes wild romance and, once the formalities are over, a pool party with a soundtrack from a vibrantly dressed saxophonist strikes the perfectly energised celebratory mood.
