On location at Pynes House, this wow-factor shoot adopts a classic English country wedding theme with a stunning Italian summer twist. “We wanted it to feel super romantic, elegant, warm and soulful,” explains Jade Cockerill of Ivyhouse Photography, who captured the editorial.
The dreamlike aesthetic is used to tell the story of the love-struck couple, who escape to Pynes House for a romantic weekend away together ahead of the groom’s spontaneous, starry-eyed proposal.
Soft pastel shades set the scene of elegance and are carried in everything from the floristry and stationery to the tablescapes and bridalwear. The ceremony space is bursting with natural light, blousy blooms adorning the arch and carried by the bride who wears a gorgeous off-the-shoulder puff-sleeve corset gown embellished with a beautiful botanical print. The cake is a vision of decadence: a textured four-tiered ‘living’ creation crowned by a cluster of fresh apricot roses reminiscent of an oil painting.
In the stately reception room, delicate white china sits atop silken peach napkins framed by gold flatware and crystal glassware, while centrepieces of miniature posies are flanked by tall tapered glass candleholders. The period features of Pynes House extend the timelessly chic feel through ornate mirrors, eye-catching chandeliers, antique furniture and the statement marble staircase – the perfect place for the couple to pose for breathtaking bloom-filled photos.
Outside, a champagne tower pre-empts the party mood, allowing the couple a private al fresco toast in front of the house, ahead of the group celebrations. His debonair tux is perfectly on-trend yet timeless, while her dress change into a short, tiered frock makes for a fun and flamboyant dance-ready confection. The couple transition from day to night, from betrothed to newlyweds.
