Call of the Sea

The idyllic backdrop for this coastal-inspired styled shoot, Boskerris Hotel is nestled high on the cliffs above the sands of Carbis Bay, affording sweeping gull’s eye panoramas from St Ives to Godrevy Lighthouse and beyond. The interiors are a light-filled vision of clotted creams, ocean blues and earthy tones spliced with Mediterranean style, which all carry the relaxed rustic-beach aesthetic throughout.
 
The al fresco ceremony on the decked terrace is framed by the staggering views and requires minimal décor. Drawing on the surroundings, a floral arrangement featuring a gorgeous mixture of sea blues, barely-there pinks and muted greens creates the sole stylistic statement. 
 
The laidback yet luxe air continues in the intimate reception space, where a palette of clean white and neutrals meets dreamy pops of colour in the ocean canvases at the walls. This is accentuated by gold flatware, glossy pebble coloured charger plates and a smattering of light-glinting glassware. Organic shapes and textures are woven into the scene with shimmering shells and coral-curved votives, while the dusky blue cake, decorated with dried flowers and metallic accents, beautifully ties the look together. 
 
The bride wears a stunning fit-and-flare gown accompanied by her groom in a sand-coloured jacket with sea blue trousers, the couple complementing their surrounds to show-stealing effect. Swapping her floor-length skirt for a satin mini for their first dance moment, the newlyweds share a kiss and raise a glass of bubbly at the bar – drinking in the romance of their stylish soirée in this secluded seaside sanctuary.
