HARESTON MANOR
Picture-perfect doesn’t quite cover it. Nestled amidst sprawling countryside in Devon’s South Hams, Hareston Manor is an enchanting Jacobean manor house surrounded by wooded hills and wildflowers.
Exclusive and bespoke are the keynotes of weddings here and, from English country garden soirées to festival-chic weddings under canvas, the venue hosts custom-made events of the most unforgettable variety. Now opening its doors for winter elopements, the historic house and gardens are set to make a magical backdrop for just-for-two celebrations.
You might choose to tie the knot amidst the flicker of candlelight in St Martin’s Chapel, a stirringly romantic setting dating back to 1379. Ceremonies may also take place at the entrance of the manor house or a private spot in the grounds, with its manicured gardens, sweeping avenues of trees and open spaces with far-reaching country views. As is the beauty of an elopement wedding, the rest of the day may pan out however you wish, and you might choose to extend your sojourn in this scenic spot with a stay in the 15th century South Wing apartment or a luxury glamping pod in the surrounding woodland.
With sustainability at the fore of Hareston Manor’s ethos, you can look forward to a wedding rich in romance, history and natural beauty in the depths of winter.
