Searching for some fresh wedding style? Taking the season of spring as its inspiration, this beautiful shoot captures the very essence of lighter days, brighter landscapes and a summer-coming with a smattering of gorgeous details and colour pop decor designed to enliven the senses.
Shot on location at Falmouth's newest venue, Above the Bay, the result not only showcases the natural surrounds and celebratory spaces, but evokes the season in all its sweet glory for a wedding scene packed with personality and panache.
"The influence for this shoot was fresh, spring, linen, pastel..a new month!" exclaims Wedding & Events Manager, Megan Souch. "I just wanted to give everyone a sense that a new season is coming - something to look forward to after the Christmas/January blues; a start of the new season and a start of a new life era through marriage."
Using the floristry as a key expression of the colour scheme and overarching aesthetic, the tones were picked to not only spruce up the space and reflect the outdoors, but also to help establish the interior look and prevailing vibe. "The flowers were very seasonal and gave the room a new sense of life!" explains Megan. "The colour lilac symbolizes happiness and tranquillity, and yellow symbolizes optimism, energy, joy, happiness and friendship - and that's what we hope this shoot reflects!"
From the fun welcome sign adorned with pastel coloured balloons to the light-filled ceremony room bedecked in a rainbow of beautiful blooms and the centrepiece cake strewn with petals, every aspect combines to ensure a vibrant and sensorial look. The bride's exquisite low-backed gown features floral embellishment to epitomise the season, while the groom's sand coloured three-piece suit and sun-yellow accessories strike the perfect stylistic chord.
Vows uttered, and the reception presents an enticing mix of decadence and spring-like dazzle via colourful glassware and candles alongside velvet runners, marbled charger plates and stunning single stem buds. Then comes the chance to escape for sand-between-the-toes photos as the sun begins to dip beneath the ocean, an embroidered leather bridal jacket providing the coolest cover up while the couple take a moment to their newly-wedded selves.
