Wedding at Camel Studio, Cornwall

A blend of crisp white and botanical green brings a simple, stylish and romantic aesthetic to a scenic corner of north Cornwall

With the rolling hills of the Camel Valley as the scenic backdrop, new wedding venue Camel Studio marries together the rustic charm of north Cornwall's countryside with the elegance of a minimalist-chic setting.

"Designed to make the most of the setting, we wanted to create something very natural with this botanical-themed shoot," says Helen Cotton, who owns and runs Camel Studio.

Green is the dominant hue, drawing the outside in while bringing lush colour to the white, minimalist interior. Table runners of eucalyptus and vases of dainty white flowers adorn the white vintage tables, while sprigs of rosemary and cornflowers create pretty table settings, which stand out against the grey tableware. A simple canopy of green branches above the tables highlights the height of the venue and its industrial elegance.

"We showcased three options for a ceremony," says Helen. "Beside the huge oak tree under a copper arch adorned with beech and white flowers, in the Sperry Tent, and inside the barn, with the doors framing the stunning view."

The botanical theme continues with an arch of beech leaves around the rustic barn doors, and carries through in the wedding stationery and stunning cake, with stencilled ferns and flowers creeping up the tiers of white icing. The champagne reception sits in the dappled light of a Sperry Tent, which comes as part of the wedding package, blending perfectly with the rustic style of the studio.
