With its freshwater lake, ancient woodland and wildflower-filled meadows, Cornish Tipi Weddings is pure enchantment. A dream venue for couples seeking a celebration immersed in natural beauty with minimal impact on the planet, sustainability was the starting point for this stunning styled shoot.
“We wanted the shoot to be as mindful as possible,” explains stylist Jules Beadle from Curious Magpie, who styled and coordinated the shoot. “From the props and suppliers to the venue, everything was carefully thought out.”
“Everything we used was secondhand, borrowed or repurposed,” continues photographer Laurie of Laurie B Film and Photography. “From the clothing to the props, we sourced everything from charity shops, Vinted, car boot sales and flea markets. Even the flowers were grown in Jules’ garden and we foraged for other flowers and grasses to incorporate into the styling.”
Evoking a summer mood with its gorgeous palette of warm neutrals spliced with shades of sunshine yellow, tangerine and lush green, the al fresco tablescape is styled with natural textures, just-picked florals and retro accents for a scene rich in eclectic character.
Rowing across the still waters of the lake with her beau, the bride dons an airy chiffon dress, an embroidered bow and statement earrings. Complete with flowing locks and bright yellow heels, it is an ethereal yet playful look - perfect for a close-to-nature – and earth-friendly summer wedding.
