“Embracing the hot colours of summer with bright pinks, oranges, mustards and accents of pale pink and gold, we went full-on floral with masses of beautiful brightly coloured flowers which stood out against the beautiful architecture,” explains Nikki Sherriff of Knots & Kisses, who coordinated and styled the shoot. This is most striking at the entrance to the house, which is styled with abundant blooms in a palette of punchy hues to create a breathtaking ceremony backdrop. “Flowers framed the entrance and cascaded down the steps to perfectly frame our couple and their gorgeous dog,” says Nikki. “The colours of the shoot continued through to the beautiful rose gardens for photos and drinks and lots of fun in the pink photobooth which we also added some casual seating to.”
The joy-filled shades carry into the Dining Room, where a table dressed with pink and mustard linen, gold candlesticks with colourful twisted candles, beaded white chargers and origami style place card menus creates a captivatingly colourful canvas for the celebrations. The theme continues with a summery menu featuring beautifully dressed salads and vibrant tarts, hand-painted cakes crowned with stunning sugar flowers and bright and playful stationery.
The brides’ daytime looks – structured and stylish shoulder-baring gowns teamed with a handmade ceramic flower crown and sweeping veil – nod to the classic elegance of the venue. For the evening, the couple don sparkly dresses with corseted bow details, high ponytails and statement earrings – embracing a glamorously playful mood for a modern, fun-filled celebration in this luxe country house setting.
